Unusual cause of irreversible acute kidney injury postgastrectomy.

A 56-year-old male was diagnosed to have carcinoma stomach following evaluation of lack of appetite and weight loss. He underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy and gastrectomy. Following surgery he developed progressive renal failure. A renal biopsy led to the diagnosis of oxalate nephropathy. Despite treatment his renal functions never recovered.
