Late complication after tropic storm accident: subcutaneous and intracranial actinomycetoma.
We report a 53-year-old farmer who developed subcutaneous and cerebral masses 24 years after penetrating trauma during a tropic storm. Computed tomography scans, magnetic resonance imaging and histopathology disclosed actinomycetoma, a disease that rarely develops after trauma and is only occasionally seen with intracranial manifestation.
